The engine power figures for the S.A.M. performance engine computer upgrade mentioned below are measured with original air filter and exhaust system.

All engine accessories are made for engines with catalytic converter (not Diesel) unless something else is stated.

When you are ordering a performance engine computer upgrade for a car that is sold on a market outside Sweden please let us know the original engine computer number. For example: Bosch 0 261 204 448 or Siemens S103955402G.

If you are not sure which type of engine you have please contact us for further information.

Performance engine computer upgrade for Turbo Diesel engines (TDI)
The max engine torque improves with approx. 25% and the power increases with approx. 20 hp. The increased torque and power provides a "new car" with very good performance and driveability.

The fuel consumtion is the same as original when not using the power and torque increase and using the same fuel quality.

We recommend you to combine the performance engine computer upgrade with sports high-flow air filter and rear sport silencer in order to improve the power and torque increase and the engine respons even more. Please read under sports high-flow air filter and rear sport silencer for more details.

SPORTS AIR FILTER

Sports high-flow air filters

The sports air filters design permits very high air flow, minimum restriction and maximum filtration, resulting in an increase of both the horsepower on some models, the torque and the engine response of the car. The sports air filters also improve fuel economy on some models. The most economical way to give your car more power and sporty sound! Replaces original air filter without any modification. The filters are delivered pre-oiled and ready to install and are reusable after cleaning.
Recommended service/cleaning. Service more often in offroad or heavy dust conditions.

Recomendation: Every 80-160.000 km (50-100.000 miles).

Performance air filter kit

The performance air filter kit replaces original air filter and air filter box. This in order to make the air flow going as straight and simple as possible into the engine. Original cold air intake system is used. (Cold air, being denser, shows improvements in power over warm air drawn from the engine compartment.) All mounting details and instructions are included in the kit. The design permits very high air flow, minimum restriction and maximum filtration, resulting in an increase of both the horsepower and the engine response of the car. The performance air filter kit also improve fuel economy on some models. The most economical way to give your car more power and sporty sound!
The filter is delivered ready to install and are reusable after cleaning.
Recommended service/cleaning every 65.000 km (40.000 miles).

EXHAUST SYSTEM

Rear sport silencers & tail pipes

The rear sport silencers optimizes the power and the torque over the whole range and gives a sporty sound. They have an optimum adjustement to road conditions and are delivered with a EEC type approval certificate. (An additional acceptance test by the TÜV is not necessary for German clients.) The sound volume excludes high and disagreeable frequencies, apt to strain the human ear. Tail pipes are made of rare steel, inner pipes, pipe bends and connecting pipes of stainless steel. Silencer mantles are coated with aluminium and tail pipes perfectly chromium plated. Quality assurance follows ISO 9001. (For mounting use the original mounting details of the car.)

Sport spring kits

A sport spring kit gives your car not only great road stability but also the close-to-the-road appearance of a sportscar. Because the car is lowered there will be an improvement in the ground effect of the car and the centre of gravity will be lowered. The sport springs have powder coat finish. The springs have been developed to be able to be used together with standard shock absobers. In order to have the most benefit of sport springs the standard shock absorbers should be at least 90% efficient or sport shock absorbers should be mounted. Can not be used in combination with levelling system. The kits are consisting of two front springs. The rear of the car is lowered by changing the position of the torsion-bars.

Heavy duty rear spring kit

Rear spring kit developed to assist the original springs on cars that are often heavy loaded. The springs have been developed to be used together with standard shock absorbers and springs. The kit is consisting of two rear springs that are easy to mount on the original rear shock absorbers.
After fitting the rear of the car will raise approx +15 mm.
Can not be used in combination with leveling system.

Sport shock absorbers

The sport shock absorbers improves the road holding and the stability of your car, with an acceptable level of comfort, combined with a higher level of safety. Its characteristics include responsive steering, less body-roll and limited body movements when braking and accelerating, all leading to a direct feel and excellent wheel/road contact. Can be used in combination with both sport and original springs. The shock absorbers are gas-charged and have adjustable damping characteristics. Which means that you can influence the behaviour of the car to meet your preferences. It also means that wear can be compensated however, you will probably not need it. They are built to last lifetime so once you have bought a set of shock absorbers for your car, they usually will outlive it. The front shock absorbers can be adjusted while remaining mounted on the car and the rear shock absorbers must be removed from the car for adjusting.
The colour of the shock absorbers is yellow. Can not be used in combination with levelling system.

STRUT BRACE

Strut brace

Designed for competition use, a strut brace is an ideal tuning part to fit on a road car. The installation of a strut brace in your car will strengthen the front suspension and reduce the flexing of the bodywork of your car. This will result in, for instance, the suspension geometry is kept stable, more direct steering response, improved road holding and reduced tyre wear. It also provides your car with a sportive and stylish apearance in the engine compartement.

Trunk spoilers

Trunk spoiler that gives your car a very individual and sporty look. Made of glass fibre and delivered unpainted complete with mounting kit. Fit in the same holes in the trunk as original spoiler. Four holes has to be drilled in the trunk if there has not been any original spoiler fitted to the car previously.

Front bars

All parts are made of polished stainless steel. Mounting instructions as well as a complete mounting kit are attached. Very easy to mount and no holes has to be drilled. (Adjustment works on the air supply pipes to the intercooler are necessary for mounting on the dTi models.)
